BEST PRIMERS FOR
ANY SURFACE
Primers are the anchors for the new paint system. They provide excellent adhesion
for the new paint system before it’s applied. Primers therefore need to have good
adhesion to provide a surface that subsequent coats of paints can easily adhere to.
CEILING PAINT
Extremely high cover ceiling paint (not suitable for bathrooms or kitchens)
- Matt
- Excellent adhesion to ceilings (not recommended in bathrooms or kitchens)
- Only for interior use
- Excellent opacity
- 100% lead-free
- Drying Time: 30 Minutes
- Recoating Time: 2 Hours
- Application: Brush, roller or airless spray
- Thinning: Not recommended
- Spreading Rate: 6 – 8 m²/litre, depending on surface porosity
- Cleaning: Water
- Coats: 1 or 2
- Stir thoroughly with a flat paddle before use
Ensure that surface is clean, dry and sound before painting. Use Top Paints’ Universal Undercoat to spot prime nails heads. A solution of Top Paints’ Fungal Wash can be used to remove any mould, rinse the surface off with clean water.
New Surfaces
Gypsum Plaster and Gypsum Board, Concrete, Cement Plaster: Use Top Paints’ Plaster Primer to seal, allow to dry and apply 1 or 2 coats of CEILING PAINT.
Previously Painted Surfaces
Old paint / surface in sound condition:
Remove all flaking and loose paint. Wash off grease and dirt, rinse with clean water and allow to dry. Use Top Paints’ Plaster Primer to spot prime bare areas. Gloss areas must be sanded to a uniform matt surface and apply Top Paints’ Universal Undercoat, allow to dry and apply 1 or 2 coats of CEILING PAINT.
Old paint / surface in poor condition:
Strip the surface completely and treat as new work.

Storage
Store away from direct sunlight, heat and severe cold. Keep container sealed and avoid moisture contact.
