WATER BASED NON DRIP ENAMEL

A superior quality water-based non-drip for interior and exterior use. This product is extremely washable with excellent dirt retention and is suitable for high traffic areas.

New Surfaces

Newly Plastered Surfaces::
The surface should be in good condition before the paint is applied, powdery surfaces might lead to paint failure. If the surface is powdery, sand down and remove dust before applying Top Paints’ Bonding Liquid and leave to dry for 24 hours.
Apply Top Paints’ Plaster Primer and allow to dry for at least 4 hours. Alternatively apply Top Paints’ Plaster Primer to powdery surface and allow to dry. If the surface is in a good condition prime with either Top Paints’ Plaster Primer .
Apply 2 coats WATER-BASED NON-DRIP.

New Galvanised Iron::
Remove grease, oil and temporary protective coating with Top Paints’ GP Cleaner and an abrasive pad. Rinse with tap water until water break-free film is achieved. Allow to dry. Apply two coats Top Paints’ WATER-BASED NON-DRIP ENAMEL.

Weathered Galvanised Iron::
Mechanically, ex. abrasive blasting, shot blasting, sanding, etc., remove oxidation and loose rust. Use Top Paints’ General Purpose Cleaner and an abrasive pad to clean the surface thoroughly. Rinse with clean water until water break-free film is achieved and allow to dry. Paint must be applied the same day. Apply 2 coats of Water-Based Zinc Phosphate Primer. Apply two coats Top Paints’ WATER-BASED NON-DRIP ENAMEL.

New and Rusted Metal::

Mechanically, ex. abrasive blasting, shotblasting, sanding, etc., remove oxidation and loose rust. Use Top Paints’
General Purpose Cleaner and an abrasive pad to clean the surface thoroughly.
Rinse with tap water until water break-free film is achieved and allow to dry. Paint must be applied the same day.
Apply 2 coats of Water-Based Zinc Phosphate Primer. Apply two coats Top Paints’ WATER-BASED NON-DRIP ENAMEL.

Previously Painted Surfaces

Old paint in good condition::
Clean and apply WATER-BASED NON-DRIP if surface was previously painted with an emulsion paint. If surface was previously painted a with solvent based / enamel paint, sand down and remove dust. Apply Top Paints’ Universal Undercoat and allow to dry before applying 2 coats WATER-BASED NON-DRIP. A surface previously painted with a gloss paint can also be sanded, all dust removed and then coated with 2 coats WATER-BASED NON-DRIP.

Old paint in poor condition::
Completely strip surface and treat as new work.
