PLASTER PRIMER

TREND PLASTER PRIMER is an alkaline resistant product for interior and exterior use on new cement plaster, fibre cement, bricks and composition boarding.

  • Touch dry: 4 hours @ 23°C
  • Recoating time: 16 hours @ 23°C
  • Spreading rate: 4 – 6m2 / litre, depending on porosity of surface and application

New Surfaces

New cement plaster:
Ensure the surface is in sound condition before paint is applied. Allow cement plaster to cure and dry for 28 days to avoid
moisture entrapment or any paint failure. Remove plaster spatter and dust. Apply two coats Top Paints’ TREND PLASTER PRIMER and allow to dry. 

New fibre-cement, bricks and composition boarding: Remove dust and loose particles. Apply Top Paints’ TREND PLASTER PRIMER and allow recommended drying time.

Previously Painted Surfaces

Old paint in sound condition: Clean surface and rinse thoroughly. Ensure that the old coating adheres to the substrate. No need to apply Top Paints’ TREND PLASTER PRIMER if surface is sound. Apply two coats of finishing product.

Previously painted with solvent based product:
Apply Top Paints’ Universal Undercoat and allow recommended drying time.

Powdery surface:
Sand down and remove dust. Apply Top Paints’ Bonding Liquid and allow recommended drying time before applying
intermediate and final coats.

Fungal growth:
Remove fungal growth by using Top Paints’ Fungal Wash. Rinse throughly and allow to dry.

Previously painted surface in poor condition:

Strip and treat as new work.

Gypsum plaster
GYPSUM PLASTER IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR EXTERIOR USE.
Interior: DO NOT SAND GYPSUM PLASTER. Apply Top Paints TREND PLASTER PRIMER and allow 12 hours to dry.
Apply two coats of finishing products.

Filling
Use suitable and approved filler.

Packaging:
5L and 20L (only white)

Storage
Keep away from direct sunlight, heat and severe cold.
Keep container sealed and avoid contact with moisture.
